Embarking on your Chakra-Mat journey is a step toward ultimate relaxation and well-being. To get started, allow yourself time to ease into the experience. Begin by getting comfortable, wear a thin layer of clothing and place a light fabric over your Chakra-Mat pillow as your body adjusts to the sensation. Start with 10-15 minutes.

As you continue to use the Chakra-Mat, you can gradually transition to lying on the mat and pillow with bare skin. This allows for a deeper, more intense acupressure experience. It's important to note that temporary redness is completely normal and a sign that your circulation is improving and your body is responding to the treatment. Over time, your comfort and the benefits will increase, helping you achieve a deeper state of relaxation and well-being.

How to use: Please note that it may take some adjustment getting used to the feeling of the spikes, start out with a thin cloth over your mat.

Back massage: Place your Chakra-mat on a sofa, bed or floor - bear in mind the harder the surface the deeper the massage, we suggest starting on a softer surface and using a thin sheet or similar until your body gets familiar with Acupressure. Slowly lie on the mat, if you have the pillow place this under the nape of your neck, if not you may use a small pillow of your own for comfort - the Chakra-mat should cover your whole back. Relax for 10-20 minutes. Getting rid of tension and aches and pains generally takes around 10 minutes but we are all different! Once you are ready to use your mat with no cover the benefits will deepen and don't worry it's normal for your back to be red at the end of a session as your circulation will have improved.

Foot massage: A foot massage from your Chakra-mat is a daily essential! Stand at your place or work, the kitchen sink, the stove if cooking risotto or simply close your eyes and be thankful for the day - place your bare feet gently on the pillow ( if you have not used a Chakra-mat before perhaps use clean socks to get used to the beautiful Lotus spikes ). Keep your feet gently pressed for 5-10 minutes and feel your stress slipping away.

Tummy massage, cellulite and toning: We find a good time to do this is after a workout or a shower. A tummy massage on your Chakra-mat will promote blood flow to your skin, reducing bloating and helping to keep your mid-section toned. Simply lie with your tummy on the mat on a firm surface for 5-15 minutes. To aid circulation, tone and combat cellulite simply lie with your thighs fully on the mat gently turning to expose all 4 sides to the Lotus flowers aiming at around 5 minutes per side. Pop your headphones on and journey back to that last vacation!

Deep sleep: Sleep deprivation is so common these days and that is the reason that Chakra-mat came about.
